A75 Compost Turner
World’s. Largest. Turner. Period!
Maximum Capacity. Built to Last.
The BACKHUS® A75 is engineered for operations that demand the highest output and the toughest construction. Capable of handling windrows up to 24 feet 6 inches wide and 11 feet tall, the A75 is one of the largest windrow turners available anywhere.
At the heart of the machine is a 71-inch diameter drum with high-torque, armored drum tools that reach the full depth of the windrow on every pass, delivering thorough homogenization from top to bottom. The result is consistent, high-quality compost produced in fewer turns and less time.
Intelligent electronic control systems continuously monitor and adjust to compost conditions, maximizing throughput without requiring constant operator intervention. Detailed performance feedback keeps operators informed of every aspect of machine operation, making the A75 as easy to manage as it is powerful to run.
Product Features
Easy Access
Better compost, in fewer turns, in less time. That’s the BACKHUS advantage!
INTUITIVE CONTROLS
Control operating speed and steering with one hand, and access critical functions via “top hat” push buttons on the intuitive joystick control.
PANORAMIC CABIN
The panoramic cabin and rearview camera provide clear visibility of the turning environment.
EFFICIENT ENGINE
BACKHUS makes the most efficient turners in the industry, and the standard diesel engine with turbocharger allows for maximum power.
HYDRAULIC TAILGATE
This operator-controlled feature manipulates the throwing of material and allows for the shaping of windrows or help with mixing.
POWERFUL DRIVETRAIN
The robust hydraulics system ensures the drum and drive handle the toughest material environments.
TRACK CLEARERS/PLOWS
Operating independently of the frame and drum position, the clearers are very easily controlled to provide toe-to-toe windrow placement. The one-touch ‘float’ feature maintains constant contact with the pad.
ARMORED DRUM TOOLS
The drum tools are coated with an abrasion-resistant material for maximum tool life.
