AVON, Ohio | Ecoverse Industries has added a new and innovative machine to their line-up, the METAL-X unit, which removes all metal contaminants from a wide range of materials and separates ferrous from non-ferrous metals.
The latest member of the Ecoverse family of products is a track-portable electric unit designed to be integrated into a material processing line to ensure the final product is 100% metal-free, all while capturing valuable recyclable products as part of the process.
The fields of application for the METAL-X units include scrap processing, landfill mining, MSW, C&D, incinerator ash, slag-processing, biomass, mulch, composting, and more.
Ecoverse President Hugh Fagan said the addition of the METAL-X machine addresses a recent demand for contaminant-free materials from their customers.
“We have observed a dramatic increase in the demand for ever cleaner and contaminant-free material from consumers and this remains a key focus for our customers,” said Fagan. “We look forward to rolling out the METAL-X unit to the market in conjunction with our air-separation equipment as another practical solution for our customers to these increasing challenges.”
The Metal-X is equipped with a powerful 60-inch wide (1500 mm) Roller magnet and an Eddy Current Separator (used for non-ferrous metal separation), three onboard conveyors, crawler tracks, an onboard diesel generator, and much more. Setting up the unit takes minutes, and it has a low-feed height to its horizontal vibratory feeder, which makes it easy for a direct feed from a screen, crusher, grinder, shredder or sorting station.
