About Us

Our expertise begins with the Earth in mind.

Headquartered in Avon, Ohio, Ecoverse® delivers a full line of environmental processing equipment and was launched in 2001 with the introduction of the Doppstadt® brand of environmental processing equipment to the North American market. Originally founded as DoppstadtUS, we spent our first few years building awareness of Doppstadt and the benefits of their slow-speed shredders, high-speed grinders, trommel screens and other unique solutions.

From Doppstadt to Ecoverse

As demand for organics recycling continued to grow, DoppstadtUS rebranded as Ecoverse to accommodate our expansion beyond just the Doppstadt product line. In 2012, we became the exclusive distributor of BACKHUS® turners to provide customers with equipment solutions covering the complete composting cycle, from organics preparation to final screening.

Shortly after, Backers star screens were added to the mix, extending the ability of our customers to create a finished product under any environmental condition. This stable of three leading brands served as the foundation for Ecoverse to become established as the industry leader in organics processing equipment and solutions. We spent the next decade solidifying and expanding our experience and adding additional revolutionary brands to our mix.

Continued Growth

In 2013, Tiger depackaging systems were brought to North America to give customers a dependable option for the growing food waste processing market. A few years later, Ecoverse launched EcoSift density separators and EcoStack conveyors. In 2022, Ecoscreen double-drum trommels were introduced, and in 2023, Menart tow-behind turners was brought into the Ecoverse lineup. In 2024, a new Aggregate Processing Division was launched to meet the needs of the Recycling, Demolition, and Aggregate industries, and the Roco line of crushing and screening products was brought to North America.

A New Relationship

Ecoverse was acquired by Alta Equipment Group in 2022, a strategic relationship that allows Ecoverse to continue to invest in environmental processing equipment technologies and relationships and bring products to market that meet needs in the marketplace not being supported by other equipment manufacturers and suppliers. Alta owns and operates one of the largest integrated equipment dealership platforms in the U.S.

Our history is rich and filled with innovation but we’re most excited about the future and the new environmental processing techniques, technologies, and possibilities it will bring!
